How do I restore my purchases?

If you have paid but premium is not showing, the payment is usually fine and the app is simply looking at the wrong account.
Start with Restore Purchases, then check which account you are signed in with.

If you bought inside the app

  • Make sure your device is signed in with the same store account you used to buy, the same Apple ID or the same Google account.

  • Open Ombient and use Restore Purchases.

  • Wait a few seconds and check whether the locked sessions have opened.

Restore Purchases asks the store which purchases belong to the signed-in store account. If that account is not the buyer, there is nothing for it to find.

If you bought on the website

Website purchases are tied to the email address you used at checkout.
Sign in to the app with that same email address, using the same method as before, and premium follows the account.
If you sign in with a different email, the app does not see the purchase and treats you as a new user.

The most common reason it does not work

Almost every case comes down to two different identities: the account that paid and the account that is signed in.

  • A store purchase made on a family member's Apple ID or Google account.

  • A website purchase made with one email, and a sign in with another.

  • Signing in with Apple or Google when the purchase email was a different address.

Check the purchase receipt: the email address it was sent to is the address that owns the subscription.

Tell us the email address on the receipt, where you bought it and the date of the charge, and we will find the purchase and get your access back.
