My download is not working

Downloads fail for two reasons far more often than any other: the connection dropped part way through, or the device has no free storage left.
Check those two first, then restart the app.

1. Check the connection and the free space

  • Confirm your connection is stable. A download needs it for longer than simply starting a session does, so a signal that comes and goes will break it.

  • Check the free storage on your device. Audio files are large, and a download that starts fine can stop when the space runs out.

  • If storage is tight, free some space first, then start the download again.

2. Start it again, then restart the app

Try the download once more from the start.
If it stalls again, close Ombient fully, not just to the background, open it again and retry.
A stalled download often just needs the app restarted to let go of it.

3. Update the app

Make sure you are on the latest version of Ombient from the App Store or Google Play.
If you are several versions behind, update before spending more time on it.

If your downloads disappeared

Downloaded files are the largest thing Ombient stores on your device, so clearing the app cache frees space by removing them.
That is expected: your account, plan and progress stay untouched, and you can download the sessions again when you need them offline.

If it still fails

Write to us from Contact Us in your Profile or at [email protected] and tell us:

  • The name of the session that will not download, and whether every download fails or only that one.

  • Your device, its operating system version and roughly how much free storage it has.

  • Whether the download fails immediately or stops part way, and any message you see.

That tells us straight away whether it is the content, the device or the network.
