Content will not play
If a session does not play, the cause is usually the connection, the app needing a restart, or an outdated version.
Work through the steps below in order, they are sorted from the most common cause to the least.
1. Check your connection
Most playback problems are network problems.
Open another app or website to confirm your connection actually works.
If you are on a weak mobile signal, try again on a stronger connection.
Play a session you downloaded earlier. If the downloaded one plays and the others do not, it is your connection and not the app.
2. Close and reopen the app
Close Ombient fully, not just to the background, then open it again and start the session.
This clears a stuck player, which is the second most common cause.
3. Update the app
Make sure you have the latest version of Ombient installed from the App Store or Google Play.
An older version can fail on content that was added later.
If the session is locked rather than broken
A locked session is a different situation: it is premium content, not a playback fault.
If it will not open and you have paid, the article about restoring purchases covers it, because premium follows the account that made the purchase.
If it still does not play
Write to us from Contact Us in your Profile or at [email protected] and include:
The name of the session that will not play, and whether every session fails or only that one.
Your device and its operating system version.
Whether the session was downloaded or streamed, and any message you see on screen.
With that we can tell a content problem from a device problem straight away, without a round of questions.
