What data does Ombient collect?

Ombient collects the information needed to run the app and to personalise your experience, such as your account email address and the choices you make in the app.
For the full details, please see the Privacy Policy available in the app.

What this looks like in practice

  • Your account email address, because sign in is passwordless and your account and plan are tied to that address.

  • The choices you make in the app, such as your onboarding quiz answers, your mood entries and the sessions you open, so your plan and your Today picks can be personal rather than generic.

  • Your favourites and progress, so they are still there when you come back or sign in on another device.

Without this, the app could still play audio, but it could not build a personal plan or remember where you stopped.

What Ombient does not receive

Payments are handled by the App Store, by Google Play or on the web, so Ombient never asks you for your card or payment details directly and does not receive them.
The health integration with Apple Health or Health Connect is optional and off until you enable it, and it can be turned off again at any time.

Your control over it

  • You can delete your account from your Profile settings, which removes your account data.

  • You can revoke the health permission on the device side, where every app with access is listed.

  • You can turn notifications off without affecting anything else.

The Privacy Policy in the app is the authoritative document. If you have a question it does not answer, write to us from Contact Us in your Profile or at [email protected].
